Hi! I am Mylitta Butler and welcome to my blog. I’m a wife and mother who has struggled with my weight since I was 19 years old. At one point, tipping the scale at 304 pounds. I had high blood pressure and high cholesterol. Was borderline type 2 diabetic. And was one step closer to the grave than I wanted to be. It took me many years, lots of tears and a health scare before, I finally took control of my health and started to lose the weight.
Most people won’t ever know what it feels like to be trapped in your own body. To struggle with a mountain that seems too hard and impossible to climb. To carry an astronomical amount of weight and not know where to start on getting back to a feeling of control. I admitted to myself that I was out of control and had allowed my feelings to be dealt with by using food. (It was so bad I remember standing up in my kitchen eating a sandwich and chips, while I was actually cooking dinner that I would soon eat in less than an hour; I was eating while preparing to eat!)


If you have ever fought the battle of the bulge or are struggling right now in your weight loss journey and feel like the lion is too hard to defeat- I’m here to tell you, it can be done.

I will not lie, it is hard and takes determination, lots of planning and the right information. But I want you to know it can be done.
